What is Statly MCP?
Statly MCP is a read-only connection between Statly and your AI assistant. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets assistants like Claude and ChatGPT use tools from other apps. Statly runs an MCP server, so your assistant can look things up in your Statly data while you chat.
Think of it this way: in the dashboards, you read the numbers yourself. With MCP, your assistant reads them for you, so you can ask a question in plain English and get an answer based on your own scans.
Six tools your assistant can use
They cover Instagram, TikTok, X and Reddit, the platforms the Statly extension scans. By default, answers use the same time window as your Statly dashboard, so they match what you see on screen. None of the tools can change or delete your data.

Add Statly to your assistant
In Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP, open its connector settings and add a custom connector with this address:

A Statly sign-in page opens. Enter your licence key, or a viewer key if someone on your team shared one. Your assistant then receives an access token that can only read.
Ask away
Ask about your posts, niches and Watchlist. Answers come from data you have already scanned and synced, so reading works whether or not Chrome is open.
Read-only, and yours to revoke
Your assistant can read your synced Statly data and ask your extension to transcribe posts you have already scanned. It cannot change or delete anything.
The MCP server does not store your analytics. Each request goes to our sync service, which checks that your licence is still active before anything is returned. The server keeps only what the connection needs: registered assistants for 90 days, one-time sign-in codes for 10 minutes, access tokens for 30 days, refresh tokens for 1 year, and short-lived image links and transcription jobs for 1 hour.
To remove an assistant, disconnect Statly in its settings. To have its access revoked on our side as well, email info@trystatly.com with your licence key. The full detail is in section 4.11 of the privacy policy.

What is Statly MCP?
Statly MCP connects an AI assistant you choose, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your synced Statly data through our MCP server at mcp.trystatly.com. Your assistant can then answer questions about your top posts, niches, Watchlist and saved library.
What is MCP?
MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to other apps. An app runs an MCP server, and any assistant that supports MCP can use the tools it offers.
Which AI assistants work with Statly MCP?
Any assistant you authorise that can connect to a remote MCP server, for example Claude or ChatGPT. You add Statly as a custom connector with the address https://mcp.trystatly.com.
What do I need to use it?
Statly Pro for the Chrome extension, with cloud sync on, which is the default for Pro. Your assistant reads the data you have scanned and synced, so scan a few profiles first.
Can my assistant change or delete my Statly data?
No. It can read your synced data and ask your extension to transcribe posts you have already scanned, but it cannot change or delete anything.
Does it cost extra?
Statly MCP is available to every active Statly Pro user. Transcription runs on your own Groq API key, so it is never billed to Statly.
Is Statly MCP part of the web app?
Statly MCP currently works with Statly Pro for the Chrome extension. The web app has its own read-only API, included with the Scale and Agency plans.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Remove the Statly connector in your assistant's settings. To have its access revoked on our side as well, email info@trystatly.com with your licence key.
